This tattoo has quite a substantial amount of significance to me, so pardon the novel. First, “with every broken heart we should become more adventurous.” I’ve learned that with heartbreak comes the best moments of your life, when you truly experience the most, when there is nothing holding you back. When you hit rock bottom, you can only go up. The writing is in my mom’s penmanship and she wrote it the day she received a kidney transplant, after six years of waiting (and a definite more adventurous time of our lives). The globe partially signifies how much more is out there… in the times that i felt completely crushed i would always take an impromptu trip, experiencing more of the world has allowed me to realize how much  is out there, and how there are so many more important things in life than the issues i was in such temporary devastation over. The lion’s represent the heart of a lion and the courage of a lion to move on with life and really take advantage of the life you’ve been given. My cousin and I had “the hearts and angels club” when we were younger… she passed when she was sixteen (i was ten) and i haven’t gone a day where i haven’t been reminded of the hearts and angels club co-founder. this gem still needs to be colored, but i’m quite proud of the work in progress. beautiful work done by Jasmine Wright in San Diego beautiful photography done by Steven Johnson of imageinphotos.com fyt: Beautiful tattoo and meaning.
