This is my gypsy lady done by the talented Jerod Ray at Capitol Tattoo in Jefferson City, MO. I decided on her for a few reasons: my ancestry is Bohemian, I’m a traveler, and like gypsies, I face an unfair stigma.
My mom and I have a handshake that we’ve done for as long as I can remember. At the end of it we say, “you me together forever” in sign language. The tattoo is actually her hand writing and the artist was able to copy exactly as she wrote it from a scan I printed out, along with the little heart she drew at the end. The photo was taken when I first got it so it’s still a bit red. I got it done in DC at Top Notch on U street.
4th tattoo, and i think it’s my favorite. i designed it and sketched the idea myself, and the tattoo artist put it together in photoshop. the quote is “in this moment, just one breath”. the raven represents the idea that death is always nearby, and the girl swinging ties in with the quote. all of my tattoos were done by steve gagliano at tormented souls in east northport, ny.
my lovely boyfriend. :)
Q:I was wondering if anyone here would be able to help me design a tattoo? I'd like to do a Transmutation Circle (inspired by the show FullMetal Alchemist) that symbolizes my gender transition and I want it to an accurate alchemic reaction. I have a friend who's taking a shot at it in her free time, but I'd like to get a few different options before I get it inked. If anyone here either can help me or knows someone who can, that would be incredibly awesome! Y'all are gorgeous! :)

Any tattoo artists out there willing to help out?
This is a really neat idea. I hope we can find help for you. (:
the text was done by JC at hart and huntington in florida for my 18th birthday and the rest was done in warrington by cal at tattoo fusion. “what is your deepest fear?” i got this quote from coach carter as the reply was “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” The quote is massively inspiring to myself and applys towards me greatly, the bmx is due to bmxing for 5 years and has kept me from trouble, the wing and orb represent freedom to shine. http://niggasinwza.tumblr.com/
got my silent hill piece yesterday by matt gee at bespoke body art. took three hours and cost £70.
This is my 8th tattoo, behind my ear.
My name is Bisa, and when I was little my mom would have to explain my name to people who had trouble pronouncing it. Lisa with a bee, and this is my killer bee.

This is my first tattoo :) there really is no story behind it, I love God and I’m thankful for every opportunity he’s given me.

My first tatto, done on my 18th birthday at All Star Body Art in Scotia, NY. :)
cover up of a rose tattoo that had way too much meaning behind it and wasn’t finished, also wasn’t happy with. this one i had done last week, day of the dead gypsy skull, by an amazing tattooist at ten tonne tattoo. the top photos were taken for the artists online portfolio and i am amazingly pleased with it :)
When I was 16 my father committed suicide in our family garage. It took me a long time to come to terms with the grief that had consumed my entire being and I knew I needed to find a way to connect me to him, and help me to heal. My father loved tattoo’s and for my 16th birthday he took me to get my first, so I knew my way to heal, and remember my dad was to get a tattoo. My father had always been a big Lynard Skynard fan and I grew to be one to, so it was only fitting that at his funeral we play Free Bird. I knew that would be my tattoo, but I needed something more. I came across this beautiful picture of 2 love birds and fell in love with it and knew it was the perfect piece, the perfect way to remember my dad with a beautiful tattoo that I will love and cherish forever. I chose the most meaningful line to me from the song, “As free as a bird now” because I know my dad has escaped his pains and torments and although it hurts everyday, even though he missed the birth of my son, and won’t be there to walk me down the aisle next year I know he is in a better place, and that he is finally free.
Thighs done by Ricky Glory at The Backroom in Houston Tx (still healing) and the foot was done by Aaron Nash when he was at Skin Asylum in Houston, but now he works at The Backroom as well.
I got the Mario tattoo for an obvious reason, I fucking love Mario! I chose Mario in the Tanooki suit because Super Mario Bros. 3 was my all time favorite game. The thigh tattoo says “Every Way” which is my favorite song by Circa Survive. The complete line goes “Every way you wonder if you’re wrong”. It reminds me to not question my decisions(which I tend to do with everything in my life) and stick with my first instinct. And something about that song gives me the chills..
Ohhhh and sorry my legs look awkward, I was trying to get all of the tattoo hah
This is my lovely lady was done by Zoe Dennis at Third Eye Tattoo, Melbourne.
She’s pretty much a representation of myself and my love for baking cupcakes!
